Current Must Haves

unnamed (3)

I haven’t blogged in a long time and I have some great new products to share! I love creating new makeup looks in the winter and fall – when it’s not a million degrees out and you can actually stand to wear makeup – so I always end up trying a ton of new products during the cooler months. These are some of my favorite new goodies!

1. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

unnamed

I know I’m a little late with this but I bought this palette a few months ago and I’ve been loving it lately. I bought mine right before the Naked Basics 2 Palette came out but I actually prefer this one over the newer one. I love using matte, warmer tone shades in the fall and winter. This palette comes with four matte shades and one shimmery shade, which is great for highlighting. The neutral shades in this palette are great for creating neutral everyday eye looks. I love using W.O.S. (which apparently stands for Walk Of Shame) all over my lid. It’s a beautiful light beige color that is very close to the color of my lid. Naked 2 and Faint are beautiful brown shades that work great as crease colors. Naked 2 is a great color – it’s a brown shade but has almost gray undertones. I also have a love affair with Crave – the black shade in the palette. I use it almost everyday as eyeliner (which goes along with my next favorite…)

2. Morphe Taklon Angled Liner Brush

This is one of those products that I bought and was immediately wondering how I ever lived without it. The brush is so thin and creates the PERFECT eyeliner look. This has become a lifesaver on mornings before work when I want to look presentable but am also running late (aka everyday of my life). I love using Crave from the Naked Basics palette with this brush instead of being bothered with using eyeliner. I have been really liking the look of using black eyeshadow as eyeliner. It gives a more neutral, casual look for the daytime. I also use this brush to clean up my eyeliner if I don’t want to take the time sitting there trying to perfect my liquid liner. I got this brush on sale for $.78. Not a joke! Morphe has amazing brushes for great prices. I definitely recommend checking out their website! I also bought one of their eyeshadow palettes (which are also very reasonably priced!) and I’ve been loving it.

3. L’Oreal Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner

I think every girl needs a liquid eyeliner that they can always count on to look great – and this is definitely mine. I’ve been using this eyeliner for awhile and I find it really easy to use. I am fairly picky when it comes to liquid liner. I can’t stand when liquid liners have a super shiny finish. The finish of this eyeliner is beautiful – it’s very very black and very matte. It also has a super thin tip and I am able to draw a super thin line with it – which I love. I’ve tried a ton of liquid eyeliners over the years and this one is definitely my favorite.

4. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

I have definitely said this before, but I am obsessed with bold eyelashes. Mascara is one of my favorite makeup products. The bigger the lashes, the better. I got a free sample of this mascara from Sephora and I loved it as soon as I tried it. I think after the second time of using the small sample I had, I went online and ordered the full-size. I ordered the combination pack that comes with a primer and the mascara. I have used this mascara every single day since I got it. I used to use at least two mascaras on a daily basis (ok….usually three – I told you I’m obsessed with big lashes!) but since using this, I am now a one mascara type of woman. I never thought I’d see the day!

5. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer

I got this product in my November Ipsy bag and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by it! I have never been one to use full coverage face products – whether it be foundation or concealer. I can’t stand the feeling of having thick makeup on my face. BUT I surprisingly love this. It is full coverage and I do find the texture a bit thick but it works very well. I have horrible under eye circles. Between work and school, I’m sleep deprived just like most of the world and it definitely shows through my dark circles. This has been a savior for making it appear like I’m wide awake and ready to take on the day when I’m really feeling like a walking zombie. I got this in the shade Neutral Medium, which I wasn’t sure about because I am very pale, but the shade actually works perfectly for my skintone.

6. Morphe Chisel Dome Deluxe Powder Brush

Yes – another Morphe brush! I’m obsessed, what can I say. I love this brush. I use it everyday – multiple times a day. It’s a very large fluffy brush that is great just for allover blending. I use this after I finish putting on foundation, bronzer, and blush just to make sure that everything is blended and looks natural. I got this brush on sale for about $6 – amazing! The head of the brush is huge which is why it’s great for really blending everything in. I carry this brush with my everywhere. I love it!

7. Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural in N9

lipstick2

I definitely saved the best for last! I have been on a hunt for a perfect everyday lipstick. I love lipstick on other woman but I have the hardest time finding a shade that I like on myself. I got this lipstick in my Sephora birthday gift in March and just stuck it in my makeup drawer with all my other lipsticks. I was recently cleaning out my makeup and rediscovered it. I am in love with this lipstick! It is such a beautiful everyday shade but it’s also super buildable if you want to make it more dramatic. It’s super creamy and feels nice and hydrating on your lips. The shade is a beautiful nudeish pink – similar to the oh so popular Kyle Jenner lip color.

March Finds

IMG_1337-001

I cannot believe it is already April! March flew by -although I can’t pretend that I’m sad to see winter (FINALLY) go. I wanted to share some of my favorite finds of the month. I don’t have a ton of favorites but they are all products that I love and would definitely recommend. Definitely found some goodies this month that I will be using all throughout spring!

IMG_1343-002

Daisy Marc Jacobs

I got this perfume for my birthday in the beginning of march and I have been obsessed with it all month. First of all, the packaging is just adorable. Tell me that doesn’t make you crave spring and summer. This is the perfect daytime perfume for spring. It is a very girly and pretty scent but is still sophisticated. It just smells fresh and playful. It has the scent of strawberry, violet leaves, ruby red grapefruit, gardenia, violet petals, jasmine, musk, vanilla, and white woods. To me, it smells like a fresh bouquet of flowers with a sophisticated feel – if that makes any sense at all. It is amazing! Trust me. It smells so pretty and perfect for warm weather. I’ve been wearing this to work and have been getting a lot of compliments from my coworkers. The scent lasts forever too – I leave for work at 8:30 and I am still getting told I smell great at 3:00 pm!

Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray

I have been obsessed with messy, wavy, textured hair lately. I have naturally fairly straight and boring hair. This is one of the few products I’ve found that actually gives my hard to curl hair some wave! I love it. I’ve found that a lot of sea salt sprays leave my hair gross and knotty but this one is great! My go to hair style has been sleeping with my wet hair in a bun, waking up, and spraying this all over. It’s so quick and easy to use but gives such a beachy, summery look!

IMG_1353-001

Benefit Gimme Brow

This product is amazing. It has changed my whole eyebrow routine. It is a fiber gel that makes brows look thicker but also gives them shape. I really don’t know how it does it – I was amazed when I first used it. You can use this on top of your normal eyebrow products (pencil, gel, etc) or by itself. When I’m rushing in the morning, I just brush this all over my brows and run out the door. It has a built in gel so there’s no need to use multiple products with it. It’s amazing – I can’t say it enough. I have the shade Light/Medium and my only complaint is that this is a little dark for my liking. It gets the job down and looks fine – but I wish there was a shade just a bit lighter to look more natural with my blonde hair and brows. Regardless, this is definitely worth trying out!

Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation

I never use drugstore foundation. I always use Clinique foundation and powders on my face. I have sensitive skin and drugstore foundations tend to make me breakout. That being said, I have no idea what made me buy this foundation. It’s different from all foundation I’ve used before – I’ve never used a gel stick foundation before and I really wasn’t expecting too much from it. This is a very recent purchase for me but so far – I love it. First of all, I hate buying drugstore foundations because I never find the right shade. I bought this in 115 Ivory and it is the PERFECT shade – seriously, that never happens. I really love this foundation so far! It stays on all day and creates a matte look to control my oily skin. It reminds of my favorite Clinique Stay Matte Foundation. This foundation is sheer-medium coverage but is extremely buildable. I hate applying makeup with my fingers so I usually use my stippling brush or beauty blender. I have definitely been pleasantly surprised with this product. It works great to control shine and gives a natural finish – aka your skin still looks like skin.

IMG_1357-001

Nyx Butter Gloss

I think I’m a little late on the bandwagon with this but I love this lipgloss! I usually hate lipgloss but this is so smooth and moisturizing on lips and does not have that sticky annoying lipgloss feel. I got mine in the shade Apple Strudel which is a bright cotton-candy color pink. I can’t wait to use this all spring ! I definitely am going to be purchasing more shades of this.

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

This is one of the products that I’ve been wanting to try forever and just never did. I found it at Nordstrom and finally purchased it. It’s just a jumbo white eye pencil to use as an eyeshadow base, eyeshadow, highlight, etc. It is SO pigmented – it’s amazing. It’s so bright and really shows up – which I find that a lot of white eye pencils do not. I really like this product and think I will get a lot of use out of it!

Relaxation Routine

IMG_1143-001

Between the stress of work and school, there is nothing I like more than relaxing at night. As much as I enjoy going out and hanging out with my friends, I am a homebody and I love laying in bed watching movies with a facemask on sipping tea. These are some of my favorite products for nights when I just want to stay in and relax.

1. Makeup Remover

There is really no better feeling than wiping off your makeup at the end of a long day. It’s one of the first things I do when I get home (right after I change into sweatpants which usually happens about 30 seconds after I walk through the door). I love using the Neutrogena Makeup Removing Cleansing Towelettes. They are super gentle on my sensitive skin. They are also so easy and fast to use – no water required!

2. Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Body Bar

When I’m stressed and want to relax, I love to shower. Even though a lot of people complain about showering because it’s a bit of a hassle – I love it. If it wouldn’t mean having to redo my hair and makeup, I would shower 3 times a day if I could. This soap is my newest obsession. I’ve never used any of the aromatherapy products from Bath & Body Works before but I’m so glad I tried this! The one I have is Eucalyptus Spearmint for stress relief. It’s so soft and nourishing. It also smells minty and amazing. You are supposed to breathe in deeply as you use it for best results.

3. Self Tanner

Using self tanner after the shower is one of my favorite things to do. First of all, I absolutely love the smell of self tanner. It reminds me of summer and the beach – and what’s more relaxing than that? It also gives me an excuse to lay around in my towel and avoid getting dressed after showering. My current favorite self tanner is Victoria’s Secret Self Tanning Tinted Spray or Lotion (I have both – Spray pictured above). This is the type of self tanner that shows up instantly which I really like. I’m very pale and very impatient so I like tanners with instant results.

4. Lip Scrub

Who doesn’t love soft, exfoliated lips? I love doing lip scrubs and applying a moisturizing chapstick or vaseline after. The lip scrub I use is homemade ( how I made it ) and leaves my lips feeling amazing.

5. Face Masks

I loveeeee face masks. They are just oh so relaxing and I love how my skin feels after I use them. Lush has some of my favorite face masks but one of my favorite store brand face masks is Alba Botanicals Even Advanced Deep Sea Facial Mask. It’s super smooth and creamy but really gets down into my pores to give my face a great deep cleaning.

6. Candles

I have a sick obsession with candles. I cannot be relaxing in my room without one. There is something about a candle burning that creates such a calm and relaxing atmosphere. I have been loving this Bath & Body Works Coconut Leaves candle lately. Even though it is technically (finally) spring, it feels like winter is never going to end (it’s still freezing here in NY!). This candle reminds me of summer and the beach and being tan and basically everything I am currently craving.

7. Sleepytime Vanilla Tea

This is probably my favorite discovery of the month. This tea is seriously amazing. It has both spearmint and vanilla and it tastes so so so good. It also has an aromatherapy type of scent and smells amazing. Laying on the couch drinking this tea while watching tv is one of my favorite ways to wind down before bed. It just relaxes you – it’s the perfect pre-bed tea.

Beauty in Simplicity

IMG_1094-002I’ve been loving really simple and natural makeup lately. This is my go to look for days when I want to look put together and nice but still very natural. I wore this makeup look probably everyday (or at least the days I actually wore makeup) in college. It’s so simple yet creates such a pretty look!

IMG_1024-001

I start by priming my face with my Avon Illuminating Face Perfector. I apply my Clinique Stay Matte Oil-Free Foundation in Alabaster all over my face. I love this foundation because it is super lightweight and sheer. It also works great to keep my skin from getting oily throughout the day. On a daily basis, I usually skip concealer. I like natural makeup looks so letting my blemishes show doesn’t bother me – they’re natural! To set my foundation, I use my Clinique Stay Matte Sheer Pressed Powder in Invisible Matte. To cover up my dark circles, I use my Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser in Brightener/Illuminateur. Since I’m naturally pretty pale, I apply my Pixi Bronzer in Subtly Bronzed  to add some color. I apply this in all the places on my face where the sun would naturally hit (forehead, cheek bones, chin). I then use a light pink blush on the apples of my cheeks. For my eyebrows, I use my Benefit Gimme Brow in Light/Medium. This product makes my eyebrows look a lot fuller than they actually are – which i love!

To keep my eyeshadow on all day, I use my Urban Decay Primer Potion. For my eyeshadows, I use my e.l.f. 144-piece ultimate eyeshadow palette (mine is the Bright palette). This is a great palette – I’ve had mine forever. It comes with a ton of colors and is only about $15! For my lid, I use a very light eyeshadow close to the color of my skin. It helps to even out your eyelids and make your eyes seem more awake. For my crease, I just apply some of my bronzer. I like to apply a light crease color just to give my eyes more shape. Blend it all together until it looks natural. I then take a dark brown shade on an eyeliner brush and press it into my upper lashline. I only go about halfway across my lashline with this. Using a fluffy blending brush, I blend it all out so it is super smokey. I don’t like for the line to be super harsh and visible. I repeat the same step on my lower lashline – also only going about halfway across my eye. I then take a light beige color (white is a bit too bright) and apply it as an innercorner and browbone highlight. Even if I’m going for a super natural look, I always rock big lashes. I just love huge lashes too much to ever skip. I have been loving the combination of my L’Oreal Telescopic in Carbon Black and Make Up  Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara. For my lips, I use a neutral light pink color – Estee Lauder in Crystal Baby.

So big surprise – I went shopping! I went to the mall with a friend and wasn’t expecting to find or buy anything – boy was I wrong. I ended up getting lots of goodies. Quick Review: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder

IMG_0943-002

What is it?

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder is a finishing powder. It gives your skin the appearance of being in really flattering light. According to Hourglass, the powders capture, diffuse, and soften the way the light hits your skin to give you a luminescent appearance. Basically, they cast a very flattering glowy finish. They all have a powdery texture and require very minimal application. There are about 6 different shades – each one has a different look and serves a different purpose. The shade I have is Diffused Light. It is a soft, pale yellow color that is meant to reduce redness and shine. It also is supposed to “give skin clarity.” This product is extremely versatile. You can use it as a highlighter. You can apply it to the places you want to lighten or draw attention to on your face – I usually apply some to my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, cheekbones, and  forehead. You can also use it as an all over powder.  This product is different from other highlighters because it gives a very natural finish. It’s not the type of product that you apply and see the difference right away.  It gives you just the slightest natural glow on your skin but really makes you look flawless.

IMG_0947-001

Worth The Hype?

I love this product. Although it is pretty expensive – I bought mine at Sephora for $45 – I think this product is definitely worth it. I hesitated doing a review on this it because it really is hard to say what makes this product so amazing. If you were to just look at it without knowing it’s purpose, you would probably have no idea why someone would spend $45 on it. It really is unlike any other product I’ve ever used. It casts such a flattering glow on your skin – and the best part is it looks natural. I find that with a lot of highlighters, I look like a disco ball after I apply them. I have to sit there blending and blending to achieve a semi-natural look. When I apply this, I don’t even blend it in because it is so light and transparent. You also only need a very little bit of product. I love how many different uses it has. You can create so many different looks with it. There are also so many different shades that will work great for all different skin tones. Diffused Light works perfect for me. I have a lot of redness and this helps to cancel it out while also giving me a luminescent finish. I have very oily skin and I find that using this helps to control shine all day – amazing! It is a very light shade so I can apply it all over without it being too much. This product just really makes you glow. It gives you such a natural and light “barely there” finish but it works better than any other highlighting product I’ve used. The right lighting can really make a difference and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder proves it!

Get your Green On: St. Paddy’s Day

cropped finish

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I love St. Patrick’s Day. It’s probably one of my favorite days of the year (kinda weird, I know). Between all the green, irish music, irish food, and beer – I just think it’s a blast. (Plus I’m Irish and it’s around my birthday!) St. Patrick’s Day seems to be one of those holidays/celebrations that a lot of people don’t really change their makeup for. Green eyeshadow can be a little intimidating to people who don’t usually wear bright colors – including myself! I wore this green and gold eye look last weekend for a parade. It has just a pop of green and is super easy – yet it still looks great and gets you in the festive Irish spirit!

1795480_10202000498837923_1651398453_n-001

To start, I primed my eyes using Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. I’m always out all day when I celebrate St. Patrick’s Day so I definitely want my makeup to last! I used my BH Cosmetics Day & Night Palette for this look. To start, I combined a bright gold and bronze color all over my lid (the two eyeshadows circled next to each other in the picture above). I wanted to keep the top of my eyes fairly simple but still wanted to add some gold to make it festive.

Next, I used a matte brown (I usually use my bronzer) to start defining my crease. I then took the darker bronze color and blended it up into my crease. As always, I kept blending with my fluffy brush until I achieved my desired look. Now for the fun part – I took the shimmery green shade on a pencil brush and pressed it into my lower lashline. This gives you just a pop of color but really spices up the look! I prefer a smokier look so I blended with my brush to smoke it out. I then used my Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner to draw a very thin line on my upper lashline. Next, I curled my lashes and applied several coats of my favorite mascara (L’Oreal Telescopic). Lastly, I used this pretty white color with gold undertones (from the Pop Beauty Bright Up Your Life Trio) as my innercorner and browbone highlight. And that’s it! You’re all set and ready to get your Irish on!

Running Late Makeup Essentials

If there’s one thing I’ve masted since entering the “real world” (aka life beyond college), it’s how to make yourself look like you tried when you really didn’t. These are some of my go to tips for those mornings when I’ve hit the snooze button a few too many times. If I’m going to be at work all day, I want to at least look nice and put together – even if I’m exhausted. I’ve pretty much got this everyday routine down to a science. I can usually get myself looking presentable and ready to take on the day (even if I’m far from it) in about 10-15 minutes. These products are my running late secret weapons:

IMG_0851-001

1. Primer

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

Applying a face primer really makes all the difference. It ensures that your makeup stays on all day. I will often apply it quickly after washing my face in the morning as a face lotion. My face is then ready for makeup!

2. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Brightener/Illuminator

No matter how much sleep I get, I will always have dark circles. Taking the extra 15 seconds to apply this under my eyes really makes all the difference. I use my hands to rub it in so it’s super fast and easy.

3. Matte Powder

Clinique Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Applying a powder helps to cover both shine and blemishes on your face. I usually go for a translucent shade so it doesn’t add any color – this way I don’t have to worry about blending or anything. I also find it easier to reapply throughout the day when it’s an invisible shade.

4. Bronzer

Pixi Bronzer Subtly Suntouched

If I’m in a rush, I usually won’t take the time to apply eyeshadow. I find that applying some bronzer to the crease of my eye really adds definition and makes my eyes appear larger. It also makes you look like you tried way harder than you actually did – and isn’t that the point here?

5.  Cream Blush

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Rose Petal

I love using cream blush in the mornings. I use my fingers to apply it so it’s really fast and easy. Blush helps to add some color to your face – making you appear more awake, put together, and ready to take on the day.

6. Brow Gel

Maybelline Clear Great Lash Gel

Whether you take the time to fill in your eyebrows or not, brow gel is a great thing to use. It helps to keep your brows in place all day. It also gives a nice glossy finish.  To me, brows frame your face. If I’m having an off eyebrow day then I feel like my whole look is off.

7. Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner

This eyeliner is my go to secret weapon right now. It has a really thin felt tip that makes it extremely easy to apply. This liner is so thin it’s practically mistake free. Even if I don’t have the time to do my top eyeliner, I will always tightline. It makes your lashes appear a lot fuller and darker than they really are.

8. Eyelash curler

I skipped this step for years but recently I can’t leave the house without doing it. It is super fast and easy and really makes all the difference.

9. Highlighting Powder

Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light

Highlighting the high points of your face (cheekbone, browbone, etc.) gives you a nice, glowy sheen. It really accentuates your facial features and makes your face look glowing and perfect. I love using powder when I’m in a rush because once again, you can use your fingers.

10. Neutral Lip Crayon

Sephora Glossy Lip Pencil in Glossy Pale Pink

Applying a quick neutral lip color makes you look like you tried a lot harder than you actually did. This Sephora Lip Pencil is perfect because it lasts for a really long time. It’s also the perfect neutral color to give you a barely there look.

(Sorry I’ve been slacking in posting lately guys! This weekend was my birthday and between that and studying for midterms, I’ve been swamped! )

My Top 3: Bronzer

IMG_0753-002

I absolutely love bronzer. If I had to choose only 2 makeup products to use on a daily basis, it would be bronzer and mascara. I’ve definitely tried my fair share of bronzers throughout the years. For my fellow pale girls, you know the struggle is real. No one wants to be that person looking like an oompa loompa wearing bronzer that is way too orange. These are my current top 3 bronzers. They are all pretty reasonably priced but I have a more expensive one, one in the middle, and one cheap drugstore bronzer listed.

1. Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess

Shade: 02 Medium
$36 at Macy’s

I adore this bronzer. I heard about it from one of my favorite youtubers. I bought mine at Macy’s in the shade 02 Medium. I was nervous it would be a little too dark for me but the woman helping me insisted it would be the perfect shade and it is! This is my everyday bronzer for spring, fall, and summer (It’s still my nighttime winter bronzer too!).  This is just the perfect matte brown color and gives such a naturally bronzed look. It also stays on all day. While it’s the most expensive out of the 3, it’s definitely worth the price (it really is not that even that expensive compared to some bronzers out there).  It’s also a pretty decent size – I’ve had mine since early last summer (as you can tell I’ve definitely made a dent). Plus, it comes in the cutest tortoise shell packaging!

2. Pixi Beauty Bronzer

Shade: Subtly Suntouched
$18 at Target

This is my go to winter bronzer. It is similar to Bronze Goddess in that it is a matte bronzer – but it is way lighter. I use this bronzer on an everyday basis in winter when I want to look natural but also want to add a little color. I really like that this bronzer doesn’t have much of an orange undertone (similar to Bronze Goddess). While it is matte, it has a little more shimmer in it than Bronze Goddess. For a natural everyday bronzer, I really like this. It gives just the slightest bronze. I also love the size of it. It’s just small enough that I can carry it around with me throughout the day to touch up.

3. e.l.f. Golden Bronzer

Shade: Golden
$3 at Target

This was one of the first bronzers I ever used. When I first discovered it, I was obsessed with it and I still love it. It has four different shades in it that you combine before applying. You could really use this palette as a blush and highlight also because it has a pinkish color and light beige. This bronzer has quite a bit of shimmer but it is sheer enough that it looks natural (and you won’t walk around looking like a disco ball – unless your into that, of course). This is the perfect bronzer for those spring or summer nights when you just want to look fresh and glowy.  It gives your skin such a beautiful glow – my friend and I used to joke and say we looked like bronzed goddesses when we wore this. And the best part? It’s only $3!

What are your favorite bronzers?

When I first bought this Bath & Body Works Blackberry Spice Candle (a few months ago), I didn’t really love it. I’m not sure what has happened between now and then but lately I can’t get enough of it. It’s the perfect combination of fruity and spice – it even has a bit of a cinnamon scent. It’s one of those candles that you can leave burning for hours and not get sick of (hence by the picture, I do very often). Mine is almost empty but I will definitely be repurchasing this.

IMG_0723-002I’ve been loving this Real Techniques Stippling Brush to apply my bronzer. It’s the perfect size and gives me a natural contour. I haven’t used it for applying foundation yet but I’m sure it also works great for that. (Not that you can ever really go wrong with any Real Techniques brushes!) This Mirabella Eye Blender brush is seriously a lifesaver. I have been loving dark smokey eyes lately and this brush is really what makes the look. With some blending brushes, I find that they tend to take the pigment/color of the eyeshadow away rather than blend them – if that makes any sense. This brush just works great. It really blends everything together perfectly.

I usually stay away from leave-in conditioners because my hair is so oily and they usually just don’t work out. But I’m so glad I discovered this healthysexyhair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner. It’s such a light mist that it doesn’t add any more unnecessary oils to my hair. I apply this only to the ends of my hair after the shower or after my hair has dried. It makes my ends so soft and really helps to detangle my constantly knotty hair.

I’ve been going for pretty natural daytime makeup looks lately. This month I’ve been all about light eyeshadow, big lashes, bold brows, and pink lips. These products have become my go to favorites to achieve this look. I lightly fill in my eyebrows everyday so I’ve been wanting to try a brow gel for a while. After using the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Clear, I can’t believe I haven’t been using this all along.  This product might be my greatest discovery of the month. It keeps my brows perfectly in place all day and gives them an almost glossy finish – which actually makes them look more natural (since I fill them in). L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara has been a staple in my beauty bag for a few years now. I love this mascara. The brush is super flexible so you are really able to elongate your lashes. This is my go to for big, long, bold lashes and I’ve been loving it lately.

I’ve recently rediscovered this Almay 421 Trio for Browns and I love it. It’s so convenient to use because all the colors are in one small palette. It’s also small enough that I can bring it with me to touch up throughout the day. Even though it’s a trio for brown eyes (I have greenish blue), I still really like the colors. I love the light pink shade – it’s become my go to lid color for my everyday look. I will either use the crease color provided in the palette or just use my bronzer if I want something lighter. The top beige color is a great highlighter.

I just bought this Sephora Glossy Lip Pencil in Pale Pink (first swatch pictured above) on Thursday and I’m already obsessed. I definitely recommend this lip pencil to everyone! It’s not only beautiful and super pigmented but it’s so soft and smooth. It feels more like a lip butter than a gloss. I’m definitely going to go back to Sephora and buy more shades because this lip pencil is amazing!

What have you been loving this month?
