Girls Night Out

Last night I went out with some of my best girlfriends and I could not wait to use my Lorac Pro Palette for the first time! I wanted to share with you guys this purple and brown smokey eye look. It’s definitely a dark and dramatic eye look but I love it. I have greenish/blue eyes and the purple tones really made them pop! I used all brown and purple shades (both matte and shimmer). My previous post shows swatches of all the colors used.

To start, I primed my eyes with Lorac’s Behind The Scenes Eye Primer. This primer came with the Lorac Pro Palette and I love it! My makeup stayed on perfectly all night – and even when I woke up this morning! (I know..bad girl sleeping with my makeup on. Yuck). I first took the matte color Mauve and applied it all over my lid. Next I applied Pewter (a light purple shimmery color) on top of Muave – focusing mostly on the center of my lid. To start the smokey eye process, I then took Taupe (matte light brown a few shades darker than my skin color) and applied it into my crease. Next, I used my fluffy brush to blend the colors together. Then I took Sable (darker matte brown) and applied it over Taupe to help really define my crease. After blending again, I took Deep Purple and applied it to the outer v of my eye. This color is beautiful. I love it! Since it’s so dark, I added it gradually. Add a little, blend, add a little, blend. etc. This step is optional, but if you would like to darken the look even more you can take Espresso (dark brown) or Black and apply it into the outer v along with Deep Purple. I then took Deep Purple down to my lower lashline as bottom eyeliner – I applied it about halfway across my lashine. Taking a pencil brush, I smoked it out using Taupe. I used the beautiful Champagne (light pink shimmer shade) color as my browbone and inner corner highlight. I tightlined my eye using Avon Black Kohl Eyeliner. I used my Sephora Black Smart Liner to line my upper lashline. To make it even more smokey, I used an eyeliner brush and smudged the line with Black from the palette. I then curled my lashes and applied my favorite mascara to my upper and bottom lashline.
