The Easiest DIY Lip Scrub

As I’ve said before, I am obsessed with lip products. I am always trying new things to give me soft and silky lips. I hate winter for a lot of reasons but constant dry and chapped lips are definitely on the top of my list. I found this super easy lip scrub DIY and had to share. It not only takes minutes to make but it contains ingredients you probably already have in your pantry. Enjoy!

You will need:

1 Tablespoon Sugar

1 Tablespoon Honey

1 Teaspoon Olive Oil

1 Teaspoon Vaseline

Start by combining the sugar and honey in a small bowl. Once they are all stirred, add in the olive oil – stir- and then add the Vaseline. I was not super precise with the measurements (especially with the Vaseline) so feel free to add more or less of whatever you would like depending on what type of lip scrub you are looking for (sugar makes it more exfoliating while Vaseline makes it more smooth and soft).

How To Use:

There really is no one way to use a lip scrub. I typically use lip scrubs at night. You can put it on your lips, leave for a few minutes (I will usually wash my face), and then wash off with warm water. If you’re in a rush, you can also rinse off with a tissue. Another way I love to use lip scrubs is with a toothbrush. This really exfoliates my lips. I will apply the lip scrub and then take a toothbrush (baby toothbrushes work great for this) and brush all over my lips. Once done, I use a washcloth or tissue to wipe the scrub off. Lastly, I always finish by using a lip balm or chapstick. My go to is Vaseline. And vuala! Your lips are exfoliated and baby soft!
