After a long stressful day, there is nothing better than washing up and climbing into bed. My favorite part of the day is when I can get into my pajamas, wash my face, and relax. Especially after long 13 hour days, there is no better feeling than washing off all my makeup and moisturizing my dry winter skin.
The first step in my nighttime routine is taking off my makeup. My favorite eye makeup remover is Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover. I find that a lot of makeup removers irritate my eyes but I discovered this one a few years ago and I love it. It really gets all your makeup off. I love using makeup wipes when I’m in a rush but I find that Neutrogena’s Makeup Remover does a better job at getting everything off. To take off my face makeup I love using Clinique’s Take The Day Off Cleansing Milk. This stuff is amazing. I’ve had mine for a while and recently rediscovered it. It’s so soft and has a milky texture that leaves your skin silky soft. Not only does it leave your skin feeling amazing, but it’s super easy and quick to use. Most of the time I don’t even use water.
My everyday face wash is Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. A dermatologist recommended this to my sister when she was about 16 (making me 14) and we have both used it ever since. I swear by Cetaphil! It’s the only part of my skin care routine that I never change – it’s super soft and gentle on my sensitive skin. Whenever I get asked how I keep my skin so clear, my response is always Cetaphil (and Clinique makeup products!) If you are having trouble with your skin or are looking for a new cleanser, I would definitely recommend Cetaphil. I use it both day and night. (If I’m feeling lazy, I will skip the above makeup removing steps and just use Cetaphil to get everything off).
I am always changing up my moisturizing routine (especially in the cold, dry winter months ) but lately I’ve been loving Olay Age Defying Night Cream and my two new Fresh products. I’m all about the face masks – there is nothing more relaxing to me than laying in bed fresh out of the shower with a face mask on. If it’s a night I use a face mask, I will usually just apply my Olay Age Defying Night Cream after. I really like this for a simple everyday night cream. It leaves my skin feeling soft and is gentle enough for my super sensitive skin. I’m not sure if it’s actually making my skin look younger as I’m only 22 years old (almost 23, ugh) but I guess we will find out in a few years! If I skip the face mask, I use my Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream & Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil. I love these products! I apply two small drops of the oil first and rub it all over my face. After waiting a few minutes for it to dry, I use the lotion. These two products together make my skin so soft. It’s almost comparable to using a face mask because I wake up and my skin is baby soft. These products also smell amazing – they really just make my skin feel fresh and rejuvenated. They are both pretty expensive but definitely work great.
